Shaking my Head
The last 4 books in this series seem more like another series by MB, and not KGI. The insta love and focus on relationship more than action is so UTTERLY disappointing. And I understand the need for vulnerability in the female characters, but geez!! Dail it back a little, will you? If I wanted that level of weakness I would have read the Enforcers series. And the repetition!!! Just wow......The last book in this series that had a good balance of relationship to action was Cole and PJ's story. I felt that this storyline was too watered down. For Joe to get so upset over Zoe's emotional treatment just felt too silly. I am holding out for Rusty and Sean's story only because I have been waiting for YEARS to read it. I am keeping my fingers crossed for a hard hitting, action packed story with a little love in between. MB has spent years cultivating this character--please do her justice!!
The lazy lame insta-love
This series started off so well with Rachel and Ethan, but has become the laziest type of insta-love writing. There is zero believability in the "love" relationship. Instead of wasting time talking to themselves or other characters over and over about this unexplainable unfounded "connection" made in a day, maybe spend that time on rich dialogue between the H and H or actions that actually SHOW redeemable qualities specifically in Zoe! The only reason to read this book is for Rusty and Sean! Their book better be the next book because I can't endure another one like this!
Very Disappointed. This couldn't be Maya Banks writing.
This book was very redundant. No character development. He see's her and bam he's in love. The heroine Zoe whined the whole book. These KGI women have all been through tough times but they were no whiny about it. This was totally not KGI style. I feel like Maya Banks didn't write this it's almost like a stranger wrote it. Joe was totally short changed. The action finally picks up after chapter 20. The only good part of this story is knowing Rusty and Sean story is coming soon. I sincere hope Maya Banks or her ghost writer review the first few books and take us back to the kick butt action KGI fans are used to. The narrator wasn't great but I could deal with that if the story wasn't so boring.
