Spoiler Alert *** ARC Review

This is a non bias ARC review.

I don't know where to begin with this review. The story line was a little disturbing to me. Lola Ray is this sweet innocent 18/19 yr old. Her love interest is Mac. Mac has a past and is starting over in the hometown where he grew up. Lola Ray has fantasy about Mac. Mac is into S&M. Lola Ray's daddy is physically and mentally abusive towards her. Why would she submit herself into a relationship were she is punished & tortured for his pleasure? I don't understand that. Also why would you call the man you are intimate with daddy and still called your "real father" daddy. That was kind of gross to me. There is more I could write that disturbed me about this book, but it's too much.

As for the narrative, Donovan Kane does the reading. He has a very soothing pleasant voice. I don't feel he was the correct choice for this book. For me, I pictured Mac to be in his early to mid 40's. Donovan Kane sounds a lot older. So to me Mac was in his 60's. I keep trying to picture Mac as a 40 yr old, but I couldn't. To me, a 60 year old and a 18/19 yr old is a bit of a stretch for me.

Outside my comfort zone

I'm not a fan of calling a lover Daddy, and that ruined the book for me. The premise of this book was outside my comfort zone in that regards. I thought the narrator was very talented and had distinguishable voices for the various characters. The story had some unexpected twists, which I appreciated. I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily written this review.

An erotic tale of attraction and lust

Hot, hot and even hotter. Erotic to the extreme, but with a plausible backstory that made it more than a porn flick.

Great book. It was so nice to visit with all the characters again.

Be prepared for a few tears. Ok maybe more than a few. You're going to love this holiday edition of the Honor Bound series. Angel can sure deliver! But OMG be prepared.

Wild by Angel Payne is a love letter to fans of her previous 3 books in her Honor Bound series (previously The Wild Boys). This really couldnt be called a stand alone book but really more slices of life and where are they now of the already established characters except we do get a peek into the couple for book 5. So be warned but I will give this caveat, if you want to skip all the relationship stuff and just go directly to the good parts, then this book would also be for you! Also, I will say this because it happened to me, if youre doing the audiobook, listen to it with headphones and not over the speakers because DAYUM!!!! This is literally mainly just the good parts *wink*. From the get-go, Angel Payne starts steaming up the pages. No soft intros here, just BAM brown chicken, brown cow!!! Get to the good lovin baby!!!! So, if theres someone you dont want to hear about him fetching the lube, then its best to keep it in the ears.

For fans and super fans like me, its everything we want. We already know these characters and just want to revisit with them anyway we can but especially with the men being all Alpha and the women they love.

Loved it!

A well written, delightful story. The excellent narration really brought the characters to life. Had me hooked from page one! I will listen to this multiple times. Looking forward to the other books on audio! As sweet and satisfying as a Sundae for Breakfast!

Cute, easy listen

I loved the way that the narrator did the voices, it was a great story with great narration.

Mr Write, was a great story. Funny and sweet. This has really good character development and LIz was likable from the start, as where all her family and friends.

Sweet and Light..Just Right

This was such a sweet story. Definitely Hallmark Channel worthy!

This is a sweet story about family, dreams and love. Ms. Hale creates a cast you can really care about. The narration of Stacey Glemboski is the perfect compliment. She captures the little nuances that make each of the main characters (LIz and Tyler) feel real and makes you want to keep listening 'til the end. While Ms. Glemboski doesn't necessarily set apart the secondary character voices from each other, the main character voices are easy to follow. This works nicely and makes a pleasurable listening experience.

Trauma changed their lives...

This author took on a sensitive topic in this story- school shootings. In this book, the hero and heroine are survivors of a massacre at their high school and we find them 12 years later coming back to the school to appear in a documentary about the event. There are interesting characters and a lot of unexpressed guilt among the survivors of the prom night shooting. The hero and heroine were making out in a janitors closet when it began, but they werent there as each others date. Seeing each other years later wakes up the memories and the attraction that is still there complicates matters too. Narration is done fairly well, but this audiobook really needed a male narrator as well.

Narrative horrible.. she kept licking her lips and needed water all through this. Very distracting

Horrible accents

The narrators super-exaggerated Texas twang was terrible, and totally ruined the story for me. I think that some level of accent was probably necessary for the characters, but I found it obnoxious and distracting the way it was performed.

This book will blow your mind!!

Are you kidding me?!? How does Julie come up with this stuff? I just finished Anarchy Chained and my mind is blown (no pun intended)!! I absolutely LOVED the ending to this series...I loved them all, but Thomas and Sadie...Soooo good! And Teddy Hamilton - I think Im in love (from this book and others) - and Kate Russell was perfect for Sadie (first time Ive heard her). Im just so amazed at every little detail from Julie...it all comes together so perfectly and I cant imagine how she keeps it all straight! Not to mention the hot, hot, hot sex! JA Huss is bad *ss!!!

Couple of disclaimers - this is not your typical, sweet, lovey-dovey romance...it is fantasy, supernatural story lines with some hot Super Villains!! And I don't normally read this fantasy type genre...but this was an awesome ride! Julie's writing will pull me into any genre, she's just that good! You also do need to read the first two to have ANY idea what is happening in this final book. But it is worth it. So worth it.

Phew...another wild ride by Huss!!

Geesh. The twists & turns! What comes out of her head. These romances are darker than usual, but I still find myself liking the characters & rooting for them!! Huss is a master story writer and an auto-buy for me. The narrators were also very good. All together, the series is a good one & well worth the credits.

Another great trip down the rabbit hole...

Exciting, different, and sexy! In a class by it's self. Each story as intriguing as the last.

This series is so refreshingly different and cool. The alphas are the bad guys, or are they?

Prodigy is not as dead as the alphas thought, victory is not a foregone conclusion, and the enemy of your enemy can be more than just your friend. The Sullivan-Sadie-Thomas relationship is interesting and a tad kinky-love it!

JA Huss has such an amazing imagination and the ability to not only tell a story but make you feel it. I have been auto-downloading everything with her name on it, and so far, I am just blown away more and more with each story. The awesome news is that JA Huss likes to revisit some of her characters and cross series with cameos. I really hope to get a glimpse into the futures of these "supervillans" somewhere down the line.

On top of all that, the narrators did a fantastic job. I just can't recommend this series enough!!

Lots of potential

LOVE No Prisoner's series. This book, while good, merely came across as the BEGINNING of a TRULY excellent novel. Too short & sweet. It's rare that I leave a negative review, but in this case, it's a go back AND TRULY finish this book Lily Atlas! You have what amounts to a few honest chapters here that showcase an awesome outline. So for that, plus because I own & love all your books, 4 stars instead of 3 ;)

Reunion

Sad that Marcie had to bury her mother and that jerk had to come. Running into Striker and Hook her childhood friends

Getting rid of Tanner and finally getting together with Hook. Can't wait for Lucky story...

Good MC romance.

MC stories aren't usually my thing but reading one No Prisoners book got me hooked on these characters. The plot is different a lot of others. Characters are engaging. I rated it 4 instead of 5 because I did find the heroine annoying in her insistence on independence after a while.

I'm in love

We met hook and Marcie in book 1, and I am so glad to finally get their story. The story always so sweet and amazing. Hook is just awesome. He has loved Marcie for so long, and she loved him. I love that they finally got together.

Another exciting escape into adventure and romance

I loved it Lilly! After working my 9 to 5 it's so incredible to escape into this No Prisoners world and experience all the excitement and all the steamy romance. I want to go back and re-read the other books again now because I love Marcie and Hook even more! I absolutely recommend this book along with your others. Thank you for letting us all be a part of the motorcycle club and enjoy the sexual expertise of the members ;)

Shes fighting to be on the drum line, hes fighting for her!

I was really captivated by this audiobook story'! The characters were complex and their romance was mesmerizing. Reese is a girl who is trying to win a place as the first woman playing on the college drum line which has historically been an all male domain. She has a lot of work to do to prove shes good enough to deserve it. The captain of the drum line, Laird, is immediately attracted to her in a big way, while the second in command has it out to ruin her chances. This story was a great college age romance, with complications from family dynamics as well. The relationship that developed between Reese and Laird is a hot and complicated one. I loved the ending and the dynamics of the members of the drum line team. Narration was just excellent as well. I give this 5 Stars all around as great entertainment.

This story broke me - seriously, I complained to my husband how unfair it was multiple times while reading. Then again, Laird made my heart sore with his swoony words and gentle personality.

Reese was one of the strongest female characters Ive read in recent history. She wasnt willing to back down from any challenge and she wasnt about to let a century old tradition hold her back from what she really wanted.

Laird was the captain of the drumline. Hes a senior. Hes totally out of her reach and yet they are drawn to each other in inexplicable ways and the chemistry is HOT.

I really enjoyed this story and I couldnt help but wish it to never end. Though the story was about Laird and Reese, there were so many other characters that stole pieces of my heart as well. The extras really made the story that much more.

I cant say I enjoyed the female narrator though. She had a weird breathy thing going on at the end of all of her sentences and it drove me crazy. And the male voice was decent, but not the best. Overall, I think it was a good listen, but I would have probably been happier to have just read it myself.

Really Great!

Amazing. I was very impressed with this book/audio. There was nothing that really threw me off. Stacy Kestwick did an amazing job to pull the story together and the character development. I really enjoyed the college/drum-line aspect of the plot. Kickass female character killed it. The two main characters grow from acquaintances, to friends and then it escalates from there. Truly enjoyed the story.

When it comes to audio, its give and go. Like most audios, it took me some getting used to the narrators. Mostly Tracy Marks, because she is trying to portray Reese and she probably only had the story to go by.

I'm in love!

Great book. Great narrators. I'm a fan of Stella Bloom ever since she did the Rock Chick series under her other name. So to hear her on this "girl gang" book was wonderful. Add in the male narrator who really brought Kayson to life and it was fabulous.

Never Enough

I cannot get over how amazingly Stella Bloom and Jonathan Ash fit with this super hot and fun story. Its like they were made to be Ariel and Kayson. Phenomenal job! With subtle changes they also bring to life the supporting characters. I want to listen to them again!

The book itself is fantastic and their voices just enhance it. You definitely cant have Enough of a good thing.

Absolutely! This book has a little bit of everything: humor, romance, intrigue, friendship, family, love, steamy sex, and a group of strong, smart, capable women who make you wish they were your friends.

Stella is my favorite character. She's brash, loud, funny as hell, and says what she thinks.

What about Stella Bloom and Jonathan Ash s performance did you like?

Their voices really fit in with how I pictured the characters in the book. They paced well and really made Kayson and Ariel come to life.

Great addition to this great series

This was a great read/listen from a new to me author and another great addition to this wonderful standalone series of books in this misadventure series. Lauren Rowe did a great job with starting this story right off when rockstar Lucas Ford ends up at the hotel that Abby Medford works the night shift while she is going to law school and he is trying to hide out while he tries to write his final record with the the record label. What he realizes is that Abby helps him find his emotions and muse. But they also both find out that they may be falling each other.

This is one of my favorite books so far,this was so interesting and fun you i wasnt expecting this story.

As an Avid fan, I loved how i still saw glimpses that reminded me of, nor from the club series you snuck in. This story stole my heart and I am once again in a giant book hangover until I get more words from you!!

The author narrates her own book and her narrating skills are top notch. I cant think of one negative thing except I wish this book was about double the length so I wouldnt have finished it so quickly. Thank you Lauren for your amazing stories. If I could have one wish it would be to clone you a hundred times so I could read a new story from your crazy Brain ever single day!! Please keep them coming... your the best

Wow!!!!

I loved this book!!!! It is a great Misadventure! I loved the narrative as well. Lauren Rowe is one of my favorite narrators she is so very enjoyable to listen to and really pulls you into the story.

Lucas and Abby are so hot and the electricity in them is infectious!!! I loved Abby's fire and the way she put Lucas in his place. And helped him accomplish his task. I know this all sounds rather vague but I don't want to spoil this great book for anyone. I highly recommend you give this book a listen or read!!!!

Rock of Ages ripoff

This storyline felt like a crap fan fiction extended version of a scene from Rock of Ages. The narrator sounds like she's reading a newspaper article while interjecting an occasional peanut gallery comment. Thank god I can get my credit back. Unfortunately I can't get back the 5 hrs I wasted listening to this crap waiting for it to get better. It didn't.
