Spoiler Alert *** ARC Review

I don't know where to begin with this review. The story line was a little disturbing to me. Lola Ray is this sweet innocent 18/19 yr old. Her love interest is Mac. Mac has a past and is starting over in the hometown where he grew up. Lola Ray has fantasy about Mac. Mac is into S&M. Lola Ray's daddy is physically and mentally abusive towards her. Why would she submit herself into a relationship were she is punished & tortured for his pleasure? I don't understand that. Also why would you call the man you are intimate with daddy and still called your "real father" daddy. That was kind of gross to me. There is more I could write that disturbed me about this book, but it's too much.

As for the narrative, Donovan Kane does the reading. He has a very soothing pleasant voice. I don't feel he was the correct choice for this book. For me, I pictured Mac to be in his early to mid 40's. Donovan Kane sounds a lot older. So to me Mac was in his 60's. I keep trying to picture Mac as a 40 yr old, but I couldn't. To me, a 60 year old and a 18/19 yr old is a bit of a stretch for me.

Outside my comfort zone

I'm not a fan of calling a lover Daddy, and that ruined the book for me. The premise of this book was outside my comfort zone in that regards. I thought the narrator was very talented and had distinguishable voices for the various characters. The story had some unexpected twists, which I appreciated. I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily written this review.

An erotic tale of attraction and lust

Hot, hot and even hotter. Erotic to the extreme, but with a plausible backstory that made it more than a porn flick.
