We binge every weekend on unhealthy meals and critical movie marathons, and one of recent criticism was Martin Scorsese's Goodfellas. We felt it was necessary circling back to one of the greats, seeing that our subconscious obsession with Wolf of Wall Street lead us to the decision.

Today, we dedicate Brightside Radio Episode 88 to Tommy De Vito, one of the main character's from the film with an unmistakable amount of spunk for a little guy. Tommy was a role for which Pesci won the 1990 Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. The movie took some artistic liberties: primarily, DeVito AKA Thomas DeSimone was a bit different then the movie depiction. While shown in the film as a small man with an attitude, DeSimone was a large, burly enforcer, standing at 6 ft 2 in (1.88 m) and around 225 pounds. Paul Cicero (based on Vario) at one point states that Tommy is a "good kid, but a cowboy with too much to prove."

Throughout the vast ocean you will not find a fish more hospitable, more friendly, and more sociable than Dory. She would love to chat with you all day and tell you her life story... but she can't. Dory suffers from short term memory loss. Dory is the aquatic Good Samaritan who offers to help Marlin on his journey to find his son. She is certainly an odd partner for such a quest, but her optimism proves an invaluable quality to help overcome the impossible. To Dory, the glass is always half-full.

We dubbed 83 as Squishy, mainly to bring out the Dory in all of us. Optimism is the key to most happiness, seeing that we live in a pretty crazy fucked up world. Stay thirsty for music, have fun this festival season, and keep your ears open for more Brightside Radio.

Napoleon... Dynamite. He's one of my favorites of all time. Ask any of my sixth grade friends and they'd tell you I used more Napoleon quotes than my own as a kid.
