This week's guest not only broke down barriers and and embodies our "Bring Others Along" ethos, he is continuing to thrive in the film and Tv space as well as push the culture forward. Renowned Fight Director Kevin McCurdy graces our show and shares his journey to becoming the first ever certified black 'Fight Director' in the England. 

We discussed his early love and passion for theatre and acting which he found at the tender age of 3. From working on some of the biggest movie and Television sets Kevin has paved the way for many to come after and continues to train and coach countless students wanting to break into the business.

This week on the show we have a woman who in the process of building her 'Beauty Empire' embodies what it means to 'Bring Others Along.' C.E.O & Founder of The Beauty Barn Mobberley Zoe shares her incredible journey of being in the beauty business for over 20 years and the steps she took to build a successful business. We explored her early days working within the industry and how those early learnings helped shaped her to become the entrepreneur and business owner she is today.

One of the things we're passionate about on this show is how can we Bring Others Along. In building and creating a successful business, Zoe has turned her sights on launching her very own The Beauty Barn Training Academy  After noticing gaps in the way the industry teaches about beauty and the lack of representation, Zoe decided to launch her Training Academy to plug those gaps and deliver a more diverse approach to learning and practicing within the beauty industry.

Corrie Mapp is somewhat of a hometown hero to me. From the day we met (not that long ago) I instantly felt a huge amount of inspiration having read his book and worked with him on his upcoming documentary. A Bajan native like myself (that's Barbadian if you're wondering) we share similar upbringings which made his story and journey so fascinating to me.

From becoming a Barbados Police officer to joining the BDF (Barbados Defence Force) and later the Queens Guards. This would be some journey that led to tours in Afghanistan where his life would be changed forever. 

We've had some incredible guests on the show and amazing journeys, but this is by far one of the most inspirational stories we've had the privilege of listening to. And the fact he's a fellow Bajan would might have something to do with it. 😁
