Ever wondered what Mexican waves, football chants, and pheromone interaction in termites have in common?
Join us for the first episode of Bristol Data Stories where we talk to Seth Bullock, Professor and Toshiba Chair in Data Science and Simulation in the School of Computer Science at the University of Bristol. He is also Director for a national research hub into AI for Collective Intelligence or AI4CI.
In this episode, Seth defines collective intelligence, talks about his career journey, research, and the new Artificial Intelligence for Collective Intelligence hub (AI4CI). The AI4CI hub is one of 9 UKRI national AI research hubs that involve universities from each of the UK’s four constituent nations and over forty initial stakeholder partners from across academia, government, charities, and industry. The AI4CI hub at the University of Bristol specialises in combining AI with collective intelligence.
