The Chronicles of Narnia was the BBC's adaptation of the classic children's novels by CS Lewis. The series ran from 1988 through 1990 and covered The Lion, the Witch and The Wardrobe, Prince Caspian, Voyage of the Dawntreader and The Silver Chair.
