When 19-year-old Brittney Wood disappeared on May 30 2012, from Mobile, Alabama, it looked at first like so many stories we’ve heard before: a young woman vanished, and her family launched a desperate search, but there was no trace of her. But almost immediately, it became clear that this case was different. Because Brittney’s disappearance wasn’t the only police investigation into her family.
