Summer is here, World Cup fever has hit, and it's hot, baby! With festival season in full bloom, you'll find more spicy worldbeat nuggets in the musical mix tonight. I had the pleasure of chatting with Tamar of the Ventanas, and then Samantha Martin. Both are with Toronto bands: different musical genres, outstanding singers. I look forward to hearing them at the Vancouver Folk Music Festival. The other featured BC festival tonight was the Harrison Festival of the Arts, already in its 36th year. A great excuse to get out of the city and hear some great music.
