Welcome to episode two of the broaden your perspective podcast, today we have a very special guest that will be joining us on the show. John Tai is a teacher, writer and the author of: Building civil society in authoritarian China. Throughout his life he’s worked in the US government, as a researcher in US foreign policy think tank, managed American study abroad programs in China. He has also been studying about Asia, China the US and the relations between those countries for over 20 years. He’s also my uncle and the father of two children. He has a PhD in political science. So, join us today as we explore topics such as the changing expectations of an Asian culture, the impact of religion, the good and bad of competition, degree inflation, parenting in the age of technological abundance and more.
