Luke 18:31-34 - All things begin and end with Jesus! Jesus did not sin, but He died for our sin. He was a substitute for us on the cross. Jesus paid the penalty for our sin so that we do not have to pay the penalty ourselves. Jesus knew HE would go to Jerusalem die for our sins, be resurrected, and be seated at the right Hand of God!

Luke 18:18-30 - It is never about our possessions, it is about our heart and where we put the Lord. Is he first in your heart? The Rich Leader believed he was following the Law and that through his actions he could be justified before God. Jesus showed him that his possessions were more important to him than God.

Luke 18:9-14 - The parable of the Pharisee and tax collector is a pivotal story in the Bible, tying the Old Testament Law to New Testament Grace. Romans 3:19‭-‬20 Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God. Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin.

Luke 18:1-8 - Pray without ceasing. Faith is hearing God and acting. Those with Mustard Seed faith, any faith whatsoever, are the ones who don’t

quit; who trust to the very end; who totally rely on God! God will respond, right on time.

Luke 17:20-35 - When the Pharisees asked Jesus when the Kingdom of Heaven would start, they could not know how different it was to be then they expected. It had arrived, in Spirit.

Luke 17:5-6 - When we bring a little real faith, even as small as a mustard seed, we bring an infinite God into the situation and anything is possible.

You do not have to have great faith because you have a Great God.

Luke - In Luke, Jesus tells us about life after death. It drives home the importance of sharing the Gospel.

Luke - Luke 16:1-8 is a notoriously difficult passage to understand. But Luke had a habit of overstating to make a point. Jesus it telling us to Be Smart, wealth is not the issue, the issue is to serve God.

Luke 15:1-32 - When the Pharisees and scribes (religious folk) question Jesus receiving and eating with "sinners", Jesus answers them with three parables. He shows them that God diligently pursues the lost, and that He has a plan for the prodigal as well.

Luke 14:34-35 - The message this morning is on the importance of taking statements in the Bible in context with the surrounding verses and with the Bible as a whole. These verses we will deal with are very difficult. Therefore, they serve as a great example for the need to look at all Scripture in context.
