Peaches was surrendered last August and found a great home with a woman she loved, but her new owner just passed away, so she needs to find a new home ASAP. She is a shepherd mix and is almost 2 years old, weighing in at about 55lbs. She loves to play in a fenced in yard & roam around the house. She is still a young pup, so she loves to bark & play. She is dog selective and can do ok with them, but would be best to be in an only dog house.

FIDO FRIDAY! This week we have adoptable Jazz from Orphans of the Storm Animal Shelter!

Jazz had a tough life before coming to us. Her previous owners threw a substance on her and she was burned. Her hair will not grow back in that area. She came to rescue pregnant. Lived with a foster family while raising her litter. She was also heart worm positive and was successfully treated. Despite her negative life she loves people. Always happy. She has been with us a year. She deserves a spoiled life with a family to call her own. Despite everything, she loves being with you and is playful and affectionate.

What is better than shopping? SHOPPING WITH DOGS! This weekend the Steel City Craft Emporium will be featuring some pop up shops and adoptable pups, including Bruce from Paws Across Pittsburgh (The pup in the picture)! There will be food, fun, games, treats, raffles and more. It will be held from 8/15 12-6p and 8/16 12-4p at the Steel City Craft Emporium 3121 Penn Avenue, Pittsburgh 15201.

FIDO FRIDAY! This week we have adoptable Bruce from Paws Across Pittsburgh!

Bruce is a sweet, low-key pup, around 5-7 years old and 65 lbs. He is deaf, but follows some visual cues and is very easy and loving. Bruce loves to be by his humans and doesn't enjoy being alone for too long. Housetrained, good with kids, and would love to be an only pet so he can get ALL the love. Walks well on a leash but can pull if he finds an interesting smell. Bruce's favorite activities are napping, snuggling, going for walks and car rides, playing with balls, meeting new people, and just spending time with his humans!

We love jeep runs, but we love jeep runs for St. Jude even more! The Mon Valley Jeepers are doing a St. Jude's Hospital Run Saturday August 15th starting a 55 mile jeep run at 1030am in Sweeney's Plaza in Belle Vernon and will end at Gil's Cafe, all benefiting St. Jude's Research Hospital! Doug Hoover from the Mon Valley Jeepers joined the Y'd Awake Morning Show Friday morning to tell us all about how you can join their jeep run, as well as how you can have fun while helping St. Jude.

Not only do we miss live concerts, we miss live comedy shows! This weekend is different though, because you can be seeing a live show from the back of a pick-up truck on Saturday!

What is better than eating chocolate? Eating chocolate for a good cause! IT'S A FIDO FRIDAY!

This week we have adoptable Riggs from LifeSavers Animal Rescue!

Riggs is three years old and a wonderful boy. He is a 95lbs, house trained and well behaved! Riggs loves car rides and soaking up the sun! He is a fast learner, crate trained and house broken. Riggs is great with some dogs and would do best with an owner that has experience with dogs. He was left behind by his family and he is looking for a fabulous home!
