We keep hearing about acts of good from people of all professions, but we've yet to hear about police officers and pizza.. Over the weekend, with the help of several small businesses in the area, the Allegheny County Police Department was about to hand out 340 pizzas in the Wilmerding area! Listen to what Sgt. While everyone is in need right now, we tend to think about the ones that can't vocalize what they need.. Children! Right now Beverly's Birthdays is working on Crisis Cheer Kits to help out families in need with baby formula, wipes, diapers and baby food. Meg Yunn from Beverly's Birthdays told Y'd Awake about all the hard work that they are doing to help the kids and what you can do to help.

The Butler Hot Dog Shoppe is known for their delicious hot dogs, but now they are known for the work that they're doing in the community. From giving food to those in need to physically going to the store for those who can't, listen to what all Ryan, Eric and the great people at the Butler Hot Dog Shoppe and Snack N Pack are doing to make sure the people in Butler are taken care of.

We know this is a tough time.. Everyone is struggling financially and it's absolutely stressful, including for organizations that run totally based on donations. St.Jude is still open and trying to help sick kids, so they have found some new, fun ways to remind the public that they are still open and in need.
