Welcome back to the Broken Crayons Still Color podcast! I’m your host, Shelley Hitz and today’s guest is Patti Pendleton.
Patti knows what it’s like to end a long relationship. She was rejected, verbally abused, physically abused through intimation, and nothing she did was good enough. She realized that it wasn't her, it was him. She has been in the healing process and has learned a valuable lesson - how to give grace to another when they utterly despise you. Now, she is learning to love herself and to release the damage that was done. She now lives in hope and will share her story in today’s podcast.

Welcome back to the Broken Crayons Still Color podcast! I’m your host, Shelley Hitz and today’s guest is Wanda Carver.
Wanda lost her 41-yr-old brother from a massive heart attack. They were two years apart and extremely close. To make matters worse, their mother was dying of lung cancer and they knew she only had months to live. The day before her brother's funeral, she was at the brink of losing total control. The Holy Spirit came to her in an almost tangible way. She truly learned the meaning of "the peace that passes all understanding” which helped her get through his funeral, as well as her mother's and father’s death shortly after. She will share her story in today’s podcast.

Welcome back to the Broken Crayons Still Color podcast! I’m your host, Shelley Hitz and today’s guest is Anita Patrick.
Anita’s story started out when she was sexually abused by a family member at the age of 4-5. She grew up with alcoholic parents and her mother died when she was 14. She found herself in unhealthy relationships, 2 abortions, pregnant out of wedlock, multiple marriages searching for that missing piece to fill the void. It was wasn't until she accepted an invitation from her son and his friend to attend Stonebridge church. She met a beautiful soul and friend, Gwen who introduced her to Jesus. It was then that her journey towards healing and wholeness began through various ministries, counseling, healing groups and mentorship. God has done an amazing work in her life and her journey continues. She has now found the missing piece...it is in Jesus Christ where she has found her worth. No more shame. No more condemnation. No more guilt. She has been set free and will share her story in today’s episode.

Welcome back to the Broken Crayons Still Color podcast! I’m your host, Shelley Hitz and today’s guest is Brenda Love.
Brenda has known rejection throughout her life. She has never had anyone stand beside her and fight for her no matter what the cause. In 2007, Brenda and her 4 adopted children fleed from an abusive husband and father. In 2011, one child was diagnosed with Reactive Attachment Disorder. Again, Brenda found herself all alone during the lowest point of her life. Like most mothers, her focus was not on herself, but rather on her children. All of them. Even the one child that was rejecting his mothers love. A love that he desparately needed but could not accept. It was during this season that Brenda totally had to surrender everything to God in ways, that she had never experienced before.
