Broken Record Ministries

In this episode, the round tablers discuss what happens when they feel unworthy or undeserving, or what makes them feel that way ... but the Cross.

Just when you think this conversation gets derailed and goes off track, they circle back and the tires hit the pavement again. What makes you feel unworthy or underserving until someone or something reminds you ... but the Cross.

It’s time to flip it over to the B-Side!

In this episode, the Round Table have an open table, so whatever is on their hearts is what they bring.  You get some bad jokes, some in depth convo about moon walks and being too far one way or another without bicycling down the middle of the road.  See how we did that?  Eh?  Eh?  Eh?  Ok, one more bad joke won't hurt anyone.

We had a lot of fun recording this and we hope you have just as much fun listening.  We also hope it blesses you and you take something good out of it. One more bad joke before we go, though.  Ready?  I have a pen that writes underwater.  I mean, it writes other words too, though...

It's time to flip if over to the B-Side!

Alpha Mike opens up with a discussion on how the world harms men by causing them to conform to a non-Biblical idea of masculinity, Brother Bob shares how he recently struggled with the "old man" coming out again, and Carl expresses his frustration with people riding outside of the bicycle lanes into the roadways in order to make a connection with our devotional study for the week.

Devotional Study:  Joshua 3:4; Psalm 95:10; and Luke 1:6

In the 3rd chapter of the Book of Joshua, we read about the people of Israel entering into the Promised Land after 40 years of wandering in the desert.  In that account, we are told that the Most High divided the waters of the Jordan River (like He did at the Red Sea) so that the people could cross over on dry ground.  This time, however, the people had to first show their trust by stepping into the waters before the miracle would be activated.

This week we briefly summarize that account in order to ask the question:  What's our Jordan River?  And are we stepping into the water as commanded?

It’s time to dig deep again!

Side A:  We kick off the episode by discussing what it means to “wait upon the Lord”.  Why does He put us in His proverbial waiting room?  What is the purpose?  Is it the Father’s way of removing the weeds from the garden of our heart?  That leads to our study on the life of King Asa, beginning with his earlier days of faithfulness.  What do we learn from his trust in the Most High, during that season of his life, while waiting in the face of trial?

Featured Song:  “Made to Leave” by Exodus Road Band

Side B:  Following our featured song for the week, we continue in the story of King Asa, culminating in his infamous fall from faith.  How did he go from wholehearted devotion, to doubt and disobedience?  And what do we learn from this tragic cautionary tale in protecting our own heart’s from a similar fate?

In this episode, the round table discusses their own personal trials until God asks, "What are you doing here?" Have you, for whatever reason, hidden in your own cave like Elijah? Listen in and find out what that looks like for the round table, and the hope going forward.

In this episode the round table talks about the fear of missing out. What does that actually mean? What did it look like before you started your walk? What does it look like now?
