I give more advice to congregations who are currently or will be searching for a preacher. We have a responsibility to our preachers and their families. We discuss the following points:

1. Work with your preacher, don’t have him work for you.

2. Treat preachers with dignity and respect. If they feel disrespected, being treated horribly, it wears on a preacher

3. Be conscious of costs of living

4. If you have a parsonage, keep it in good working order

5. Don’t make his wife create all the ladies’ events and everything else.
