Luisa Stefani is beaming and giddy as she joins us in San Jose, CA a day after arriving from Japan with her Bronze Medal proudly adorned around her neck to tell us her story about her last minute trip to Tokyo. Having battled some injuries and illnesses keeping her out of important tournaments, Luisa accepted the opportunity to represent her country just wasn't in the cards for her in 2021 and instead took a trip out of town and was ready to enjoy some time with her team celebrating birthdays and life off the court. But, after receiving a last minute call, she quickly packed her bags and headed to Tokyo for a life changing experience where she partnered with a long time friend, competed for her country (Brazil) in women's and mixed doubles, and got to check off a massive bucket list item off her list. In this episode, she talks about her mindset, obstacles she faced, the experience, her team, meeting other athletes and so much more while sharing how her and her partner captured the first medal in tennis for Brazil!
