Brookes Outdoors | The Fascinating Dr. Peter Brookes

You may know this week's guest from the news. Dr. Peter Brookes is a fascinating Washingtonian. Pete shared some incredible stories with Rob while fishing for snakehead in July 2022. Rob has been trying to get Pete on the podcast for months to tell some of his declassified stories. Pete may have been too busy to hunt and fish during his early career years. He didn't pickup a fly rod until later in life. He has accomplished more than most in a lifetime. Pete is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and a decorated military veteran. He has made over 4,000 appearances on TV and radio. He has been a foreign policy columnist for nearly 20 years. He attended the Naval War College, the Johns Hopkins University and Georgetown University. Seriously, this guy is absolutely incredible. Dr. Brookes is an avid hunter and angler. He is also an award-winning outdoor writer, publishing in newspapers, magazines, newsletters, and blogs under Brookes Outdoors. He lives with his wife and son not far from Rob in Northern Virginia.
