We pause to discuss the individuality of faith. Our faith and our understanding of scripture need continual growth. Hey, I've been wrong about stuff, but that's OK. We're very informal here at BDTAE, but the bottom line is encouraging Christians to make your faith your own. Don't just adopt a "system" or a denomination or a guru. I might get snarky sometimes, but I'm harmless! I'm just a guy, who writes songs, and I hope sometimes I make sense!

We make a few corrections and explanations from recent podcasts and then look at the biblical pattern of stepping into blessings. The gift of resurrection life is free (it is, after all, a gift!) and obtained by faith. Similarly, the special hope of the blessings in the far above the heavens where Christ sits must be entered into by faith as well.

In today's offering, we look the Bible from on high. We traverse from Adam to the New Earth and look a little more closely at the different hopes in different ages and the different gospels which correspond to those hopes. Alone the way, we briefly visit the malefactor on the cross and his hope.

We unpack the Old and New Covenants a little bit by looking at Exodus 19 and Hebrews 8. It's not yet here, folks. Grace is not a Covenant. There is no priesthood of the believer; no man is individually a priest, and grace needs no priests. This truth looks back at the Lord's Supper as well.

On today's podcast we meander through my random thoughts on baseball. Couple of stories from playing the game to my place as a Phillies fan (in the will of the Lord).

I pause on today's podcast to reflect on the blessings of family. After selling the home my family has owned since 1983, I wanted to pause and reflect on just how fortunate and blessed I was to be the youngest member of the Scotto Famiglia (essere di buona famiglia!). We'll be back to kvetching soon.

Still podcasting from the cave after bugging out! Today, we look at nine different commonly used words in Christendom which require us to be a little more careful in our use and application. Baptism, Salvation, Kingdom, Old/New Testament, Hell. Lord's Day, Resurrection, Condemnation, and Justification.

I'm coming to you from a remote location on a cheap microphone! But we must carry on! I start today with a few comments about the show MASH. We then move on and I go a little deeper into why I don't believe water baptism and the Lord's Supper are for the current age. It all hinges on the place of the Book of Acts in scripture. We go from Korea to Jerusalem! Along the way, I grumble about Charles Stanley and our local Episcopal Church.

We all have been given the ministry of reconciliation. That is, we must tell the world that God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself. He is not holding anyone sins against him because his work was complete! The duty of man is to be reconciled to God, by grace, through faith. We examine how we can be his witnesses by simply allowing the Spirit of God to work through our spirit, our new nature.

I make a small correction from a previous podcast (just a slip of the tongue) and we talk a little more about The Day of the Lord (The Lord's Day). Then we take up the topic of the free gift of Life because of God's Grace and Love. Technically, we are not saved by our faith, we are saved by God's Grace!
