  • Message - Real Life Teams: What Makes a Great Team?
What makes a great team? Why do some teams excel while others fall short. In this episode on Real Life Teams we explore this question and draw from Biblical examples that an help us understand the teams we are a part of and how to work and lead effectively with others.
The Question for you: How can I influence my various real life teams as a skilled teammate, an effective leader, working toward goals with focus and with a dedication to keep improving?
Tim examines all five of those team attributes and looks to the life of Jesus and his team that he called together, 2000 years ago. Jesus and his twelve disciples created the most powerful and influential ideology and organization humanity has ever known, the church. Jesus led them, taught them, fulfilled his mission and then entrusted to the disciples their work to go and make disciples. They did just that.
The Challenge for you: To make the most of the teams you are on. To evaluate your real life teams: who are the skilled players and are they in the right positions, is there effective leadership, are there clear goals, is there a dedication to training and improvement.

  • Message - Love Your Brother: Confessions of a middle-age white guy from a middle-American culture
Tim takes a self-reflective look at his own culture and worldview to have a greater understanding and awareness of the discrimination, fear and anger that is sweeping across our nation in 2020.
The three primary questions Tim explores are: Do men, not of color, see and understand the injustices in our communities toward minorities? Is there a role we may have in taking actions towards bringing fairness and justice to our communities? What does it mean to love our brother?
Through a foundation of hope and encouragement in God's Word exploring these three questions, Tim challenges us through challenging himself by loving his brother, regardless of his skin color, language or tribe. To listen, care for, and empathize with him at a deeper level. Second, to acknowledge there is real discrimination and fear within communities of color that he may not fully understand, and to speak up or act when the Lord prompts him to do so.

In this first in a new series on Real Life Teams. I think we can all relate to the team concept as having participated in sports, coached sports or just a fan of sports. We may not be on a competitive team on the court or field, but we all participate in real life teams every day.
The questions are: What are the teams you are a part of today? What are the goals for each team? What specific role do you fulfill for your team to be successful?
Tim addresses Five Real Life Teams and how we have a vital role as a team player on each one. The Christian Man Team, The Marriage Team, The Family Team, The Work-Place Team, and the Church Team. • Message - You Are What You Eat
Continuing the topic of Men's Health this episode addresses the question, Are you making daily wise decisions in regard to your diet and nutrition? If you listen to nutrition specialist, watch documentaries, and read articles on what foods you should eat and ones to not consume, it can be confusing to say the least. The information seems compelling, but often contradictory with one another. So how do we make good decisions on our food choices?
This episode will explore how God has given us a bountiful variety of foods that have all the nutrients we need to be healthy and promote healing. The second point is to encourage you that yes, you do have control over your diet. Finally we all desire to seek the Lord for wisdom in our lifelong diet so we will be strong and healthy to fulfill God's purposes and plans He has for us.
