Brotherhood Forged is a Christian men’s podcast helping men grow in faith, discipline, and leadership.
In this episode, Joey and Paul unpack one of the most damaging habits in relationships: keeping score.
From pride and defensiveness to delayed apologies and unresolved anger, they talk honestly about why repair is so hard for men—and why it matters so much. This conversation dives into what it looks like to stop trying to win the argument and start protecting the relationship instead.
You’ll hear practical insight on owning your mistakes, apologizing without excuses, respecting your spouse’s perspective, and rebuilding connection before resentment has time to grow.
Scripture referenced:
Ephesians 4:26

Brotherhood Forged is a Christian men’s podcast helping men grow in faith, discipline, and leadership.
In Episode 95, we sit down with Ed D., a member of the Brotherhood Forged community, to hear one of the most powerful and emotional stories we’ve ever shared on the show.
Ed and his wife opened their home to the foster care system for over a decade, welcoming 97 children into their family. Through that journey, they experienced the beauty and heartbreak of caring for kids in crisis, ultimately adopting their daughter kylee, who was born with a life-threatening congenital heart defect.
Ed shares the incredible story of kylee’s medical battle, including multiple open-heart surgeries and the moment their family was told she would need a heart transplant to survive. In the middle of uncertainty, fear, and suffering, Ed explains how faith in Christ became the only anchor strong enough to hold their family together.
This episode is a powerful conversation about:
Ed’s story reminds us that while life can be incredibly difficult, God is faithful in every season.
One of the key verses discussed in this episode is Proverbs 3:5–6:

Welcome back to Episode 93 of Brotherhood Forged — where we get real about something that can quietly destroy marriages, friendships, and brotherhood if left unchecked:
You can be technically right… and still be relationally wrong.
In this episode, we unpack:
We also bring Scripture into it with some straight-to-the-heart Proverbs:
One of the best lines of the episode:
“Maturity isn’t about being right. It’s about being safe—safe to talk to, safe to disagree with, and safe to be around.”

Brotherhood Forged is a Christian men’s podcast helping men grow in faith, discipline, and leadership.
Episode 92 dives into something every man faces: stress—and how it leaks out into our relationships at home, at work, and in our brotherhood.
We kick off with a recap of Rob’s vulnerable interview (Episode 91) and the powerful reminder that real brotherhood takes intentionality, even across distance. Then we get practical:
When your wife, kids, boss, or coworkers can see your stress before you can… how do you prepare for those days? What do you do when you’re snapping, distracted, or not showing up how you know God is calling you to?
The “two versions” of a man: calm vs. under pressure
Why presence and active listening matter more than you think

Brotherhood Forged is a Christian men’s podcast helping men grow in faith, discipline, and leadership.
In Episode 91, we sit down with Rob Lawrence for one of the most honest conversations we’ve had on the show.
Rob opens up about living behind a mask, battling suicidal thoughts, losing a fellow officer in the line of duty, and walking through the passing of his mother — the woman who sacrificed everything to raise him.
And through all of it, he discovered something most men fight against:
You have to let go.
This episode dives into:
Why men weren’t meant to handle pressure alone
The power of honesty and vulnerability in fatherhood
Spiritual warfare and the danger of “drifting”
How pain can wake you up to what really matters
Why time is your most valuable asset
The message Rob shares with the young cadets he mentors: You can make it.
We also discuss Outwitting the Devil by Napoleon Hill and reflect on Psalm 34:18 — “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted.”
If you’ve been feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or like you’re carrying everything alone… this conversation is for you.

Welcome to Episode 90 — “Trusting the Divine GPS: Navigating Life’s Unseen Paths.”
In this conversation, we unpack the powerful idea of GPS as “God’s Positioning System” (from The Energy Bus by John Gordon) and what it looks like to trust God when the road makes no sense.
We talk about:
Why we crave control (and how it creates mental stress)
How God uses detours, delays, and “cornfields” to forge us
Seasons of doubt—and how remembering God’s faithfulness becomes spiritual defense
Free will vs. God’s sovereignty (doors, direction, and obedience)
Joey’s cancer battle and the peace God gave him in the hardest moments
Caleb’s journey of obedience, identity, and being “qualified by calling”
The reminder: faith moves before clarity
📖 Scripture: 2 Corinthians 5:7 — “For we live by faith, not by sight.”

Brotherhood Forged is a Christian men’s podcast helping men grow in faith, discipline, and leadership.
Most men don’t quit because growth is hard — they quit because growth stops looking like progress.
In this episode, we talk about the seasons where growth feels slow, quiet, and invisible. The moments where there’s no momentum, no wins, and no clear results — just obedience, trust, and continuing to show up.
We dive into:
Why worldly growth always leaves us empty
How spiritual growth often looks nothing like we expect
Performance-based identity vs. identity rooted in Christ
Speaking truth in love (Ephesians 4:15)
Pride, humility, marriage, leadership, and surrender
Why real growth is about becoming more like Jesus, not more impressive
📖 Scripture: Ephesians 4:15

Brotherhood Forged is a Christian men’s podcast helping men grow in faith, discipline, and leadership.
In Episode 88, we share a powerful real-life story: Dean (a lifelong pool hall friend) comes to church, hears the Gospel, and gives his heart to Jesus—and his baptism is coming soon. We also dig into:
Identity in Christ vs. drifting (drift is normal—staying there is the problem)
How your inner circle shapes your growth and spiritual direction
Why accountability is one of the deepest expressions of love
What “Faith Over Fear” really looks like in everyday life
How pursuing Jesus transforms your marriage, mindset, and leadership at home
