Coach Rudy Carey – Bio: Coach Rudy Carey is one of the most celebrated figures in Colorado high-school basketball history. A proud graduate of Denver East High School and former player at Colorado State University, Carey went on to become a transformative coach at both Manual High School and Denver East.
Over his decades-long career, he has won multiple state championships and, in 2022, became Colorado's all-time winningest boys' basketball coach. Beyond his record-breaking victories, Carey is known for mentoring generations of young men — emphasizing discipline, education, and character as much as athletic skill. Many of his players have gone on to college and professional careers, carrying forward his lessons of excellence and accountability.
