September was quite interesting! The gals had their first full month of podcasting and everyone seems to have a cheating scandal. Chanel and Kris talk over the overall vibes of September and their highlights. Chanel's overall motif for the month of September was self-work and tears, Kris dumpster dives, and they both debating the worst crumbl flavors of the week. Amidst an absurd amount of technical difficulties, the pair spent the core of the episode exploring their relationship with their hair. p.s. we'll be uploading on Fridays for the time being!

The girls start the episode off on a lighter note, discussing Kris's on-and-off relationship with her local Bojangles, as well as other mundane food-related topics. For the rest of the show, they discuss everything under the sun as it relates to work. They talk about their earliest concept of work, the subliminal (and sometimes not so subliminal) messaging they got in their coming-of-age as it relates to being a Black girl/woman in a labor space. From their first jobs all the way to now and how they ended up where they are today, Kris and Chanel dig deep and explore the multitude of nuances in their shared and unique lived experiences as Black women in the 21st century.

The girls explain their unintentional 'hiatus' and recount what they've been up to since the last episode. Chanel went from one job to three and checked out a food truck rodeo. Kris finally stopped avoiding living in a new city and even took a pottery class. The two discuss their favorite seasons, reflect on summer, and share their hopes for the final quarter of 2022. Most importantly: they settle the debate on whether unfrosted poptarts are worthy of eating.
