We are nearing the beginning of NBA preseason and the start of the NBA's 75th Anniversary year so naturally it was time for the gang to ask: who is the best player right now? Aswi and Erik give their top 3 players right now and argue the case for each one. And Aswi poses the question about whether or not Olympics performance should count towards a player's case. The guys also give honorable mentions to a few guys who are top 5 but not quite in that upper echelon.

12:27 - Kevin Durant. Achilles injury be damned, Kevin Durant came back this year without losing a step. After a truly incredible second round playoff series against Giannis, has KD proven that his time on top has finally come?
19:54 - LeBron James. With Aswi and Erik being massive LeBron stans it was inevitable that they would include him in this list. Does the 37 year old King James still reign supreme or is he now the "Washed King"?

51:57 - Lakers Get Cheap with Alex Caruso. Will the Lakers come to regret letting fan favorite Alex Caruso go for nothing in return in what appears to be purely a tax-saving move? Is it justifiable for a tax-paying team like the Lakers to care about avoiding avoiding luxury taxes in an all-in season like this upcoming one?
59:51 - Dennis Schroder's Bet Goes Bust. Erik covers how Schroder turned down a $84 million offer over four years from the Lakers only to wind up getting no offers better than a $5.9 million contract from the Boston Celtics.
