This was a nice reunion of the original trio cohosts. We share what each one of us has been up to and talk about being a better human being, empathy, animation in movement and dance with character, having those qualities bleed into real life. Delaying gratification and discipline, and the social support we can gain taking part in some of the group activities we are each involved in.

One last podcast to publish as 2020 comes to a close. We recorded this one back in September and it's been sitting in editing for a while... Sorry Kevin! Kevin Winchester of Kevolution Fitness or kevs_winchester on Instagram a self-made personal trainer originally from France. He packed up and moved to Canada in pursuit of the Canadian dream, and studied at George Brown in Toronto before moving to Vancouver, brightening up our podcast with his positive attitude and helping people to overcome that initial barrier to invest in personal health. Not just work out for working out's sake, but improving mind and body and mental health as well.

On this Episode of Brunches & Crunches, we chat with @joelgmma, Mixed Martial Arts coach who takes an empathetic one-on-one approach to help elevate self-confidence in young individuals. Joel experienced trauma and bullying as a child and wanted to share that experience with us and the pivotal decisions in his life that led to doing the unexpected, facing his fears head-on, and growing and learning to be a mentor to others. Apologies for the audio quality in this one as we were trying a different remote setup. Please bear with us as we struggle through our own podcast growing pains. Follow us @brunchescrunches for some more wholesome goods.
We reunite with our Episode 1 co-host, the extraordinary Antony. He let us record in his backyard so if you hear some lawnmowers, that's just us trying to keep this podcast going en plein air. Special guest Sharon joins us. The mysterious Sharon we've heard so much about in the first episode. She doesn't use Instagram, watched the documentary Gamechangers and like others who have seen the film, decided to go vegan. Learning to cook for two while living with someone has given Sharon some new perspectives. We keep this one very light with the freshly juiced local apples mixed with some other beverages for a hot sunday mid-day chat.
Excited to have a special guest Dominique Wakeland, or as they're known on Instagram @caillou.sexy.ass.cousin local Black Lives Matter protest speaker, drag artist and performer chatting about Exotification on stage, intimacy choreography training, gender fluidity, introducing with pronouns, calling out organizations to own up to their mistakes, and mutual respect for what people choose to identify as. Perhaps by treating someone to a coffee! Check out the Black Coffee Fund, to help people who are struggling with racism craft some moments of self care. ☕️
Kirsten and Bruce catch up remotely on life during the COVID-19 Pandemic, share some stories of what life's been like since the virus hit, the impact on mental health, and try and put to words what we can collectively try and do to combat injustice and show support for the Black Lives Matter movement.

Finally releasing an episode that we recorded before COVID. We chatted with Kirsten's coworker, Kevin, and his vegan non-alcohol lifestyle being an inspiration that keeps her striving to live healthy and stay fit. Some of the books and resources that inspire us, and even talk a bit about tai chi.

This introduction to the Brunch & Crunch bunch features Kirsten Longva, Antony Le, Bruce Hui as we dive into eating and exercise habits–the core of what the show is about. Some friendly discussion over who we are inspired by, how we came to be connected through background performing, and what drives us toward achieving positive change for our mind, body, and spirit. Get ready, because this is a long one. It's unfiltered, we start ranting, a cat gets involved. More to come, and we'll keep em shorter next time.
