NBA 2K27 shooting has become one of the biggest conversations in the 2K community, and Mike Wang just gave us even more to talk about.
After Mike Wang asked the community about the relationship between ratings, badges, and shooting percentages, a lot of players immediately assumed NBA 2K27 shooting was about to become significantly harder.
But Mike Wang later clarified that the percentages in his original poll were completely arbitrary and were NOT an indication of how shooting will work in NBA 2K27.
Then he dropped the actual NBA 2K26 community shooting numbers from Seasons 3–8:
🏀 Park — 55.1% FG / 45.1% 3PT
🏀 Ante Up / 3v3 PG — 49.9% FG / 37.3% 3PT
🏀 REC — 53.1% FG / 44.9% 3PT
🏀 Pro-Am / PG — 43.9% FG / 35.9% 3PT
Those numbers have completely changed the conversation because despite many players saying shooting was way too easy in NBA 2K26, the overall community statistics tell a different story.
Does this mean NBA 2K27 shooting might remain relatively forgiving? Could Tempo Shooting return? And are cheating, shot contests, badges, and matchmaking actually bigger problems than shooting difficulty itself?
We’re breaking down Mike Wang’s comments, the numbers, and what all of this could mean for NBA 2K27.
