Bryan Fuller is a friend of Pete's from his Army days. Back when graduating from college and enlisting was a thing. Pete and Bryan got to their first unit the 165th Military Intelligence Battalion within a few months of each other. They were fast life-long friends.  

Pete, always eager to do something was marshaling fellow spies to go do the Nijmegen 100 mile march...Bryan, ever willing to do something hard was instantly recruited. The rest is history. 

BTW Bryan also rowed across the Atlantic Ocean!
