BS With Friends!

Friends! It's so lovely to be with you once again, on such a wonderful beautiful day. This week your buds discuss Thanksgiving/Friendsgiving plans, the current legal battle between Quentin Tarantino and Miramax over NFTs (spoilers, both sides suck), and the continuing evolution of a new era of WarnerMedia including them doing something...good?? and...helpful maybe?? From there we get deep into the existential, universal, and enrapturing animated film from Don Hertzfeldt, It's Such A Beautiful Day.

In this episode your friend, Percy Davis himself, joins us to talk athleticism and acting. Along with, of course, news such as the ongoing state of movie theaters and how NFTs are actually bad (but you knew that). And then finally, the real dish that need you to walk softly and speak in hushed tones 1997's Steel.

It's finally time to talk about Audrey Horne. This week, your friends are covering Twin Peaks: The Return Parts 11 & 12!

Dougie brings an item of interest to the Mitchum brothers, Audrey has an argument with her husband, Gordon has a glass of wine with a French woman, and Bobby investigates a shooting outside of the Double R.

Next week, it's on to Parts 13 & 14.

Hey there, friends! They say the news never shows up late, it shows up accurate. You friends are here with that same energy this week, with a dang good ep. In the news news, we talk about Dwayne Johnson's potential return to The Fast Saga, his promise to never bring real guns on set, Starz is for sale apparently, WB is doing NFTs and that seems pretty bad, and we check in on the totally not depressing state of movie theaters. And in other news, there's 1987's Broadcast News! Wherein Xzy goes off about her nearly journalistic background and Max discovers his love of Holly Hunter.

Just like Laura, this podcast is the one! On this week's Fire Walk with Friends, we're discussing Twin Peaks: The Return Parts 9 and 10.

Bobby visits his mom and receives a final gift from his father, Richard robs his grandmother, Janey-E takes Dougie to Bonetown, the Mitchum Brothers receive a dire warning, and Gordon gets a surprising knock on his door.

Next week, it's on to Parts 11 & 12.

This week your buds are joined by producer Patrick Cotnoir of The George Lucas Talk Show and RAAAATSCRAPS fame! After a brief recap on the viability of firearms on set, the silliness of Rotten Tomatoes outrage, and an embarrassingly long discussion about Bawls energy drink; we take a deep dive into David Fincher's The Game and it's place in the chronology of such an immediately recognize auteur.

It's time for the big one. This week on Fire Walk with Friends, we're talking Twin Peaks: The Return Parts 7 and 8!

Jerry Horne is lost in the woods, Diane meets with Mr. C, The Nine Inch Nails play the Roadhouse, a monster is born from the Trinity test, and Max brings it all back around to how the effects of the real-life nuclear tests are something we're still living with to this day.

Next week, it's on to Parts 9 and 10!

As all evil must die, so too must spooky season come to an end. And we're capping it off with Evil Dead II! But first, as always, the news which this week includes the ongoing unpleasant on the set of Rust, Dave Chappelle's "terms" to discuss trans issues, and a reaction to the Netflix' live action Cowboy Bebop. Then it's off to the woods with everyone's favorite boy, Ash! Another prime example from this month of just how different horror might mean to certain people. It's all extremely chill, don't @ us.

Our journey through Twin Peaks: The Return continues with this week's discussion of Parts 5 and 6!

Dr. Amp finally shows us what he does with those shovels, Dougie uncovers some troubling activity at Lucky Seven Insurance, the Mitchum brothers replace their casino manager, and Hawk finds what's been missing for 25 years.

Next week, it's on to parts 7 and 8!

Turns out that maybe the spookiest monster of all, is man. Huh. Who knew? This week DPReview TV's own Jordan Drake stops by to discuss another one of Xzy's oddball personal faves. But first! The news! Disney's potential monopolization of streaming, the Chapelle/Netflix controversy, and the thankfully somewhat positive updates from the IATSE worker front are all on the docket. As well as some films that your friends are very excited for as the year begins to wrap up. And then, finally, an in-depth discussion on Darren Aronofsky's 2017 horror film mother! Dense and wild, definitely pour yourself a drink and join us for this one!
