In this episode, my guest known by the artistic name BSP, shares the direct experience of living with synesthesia. Although labelled as a condition, I find synesthesia a creative ability, and as a singer songwriter and artist, BSP navigates this world with a multiple sensory lens. This allows her to create immersive experiences on stage through sounds, melodies, and imagery on canvas. BSP has performed at the Tate Museum and her audiences have describe it as “her art a connection of voice, sound and paint”.
Today we talk about synesthesia from a first person experience as we aim to uncover some myths, while hopefully support those who feel outcasts for such ability.
This episode interests you on BSP's creative process BSP, and also if you wish to know more about synesthesia in the mental health context, or how to improve your creativity through open up the multi sensory experiences.
