BTS029, Writing Beats within Scenes, Scene Blocking and Experimenting with First and Third Person POV in a Novel

During the first two weeks in March, I both struggled and made progress with rewriting book two. At the same time, I also failed to meet an ambitious writing goal that I set for myself.
In part one of my March author diary update, I discuss the following writing topics:
- The progress I made with writing book two
- Changing and choosing the name of a novel
- Writing beats within scenes
- Why and how I block scenes before I write
- Experimenting with first and third-person POV in a novel
- Character motive for a murder mystery
- Working with an alpha reader
Just to let you know, this episode was recorded on Wednesday, the 22nd of July, so this show is primarily me looking back at March. In the same spirit as the previous episode, there is a backlog with the show due to the Lockdown that we're all facing. After a few weeks, I've managed to figure out how to work from home with my husband and do all of the things I would typically achieve.
