The Minnesota Twins seasoning opening win streak comes to an end at 4 games, losing two of three to the Marlins. The starting pitching performances from Kenta Maeda and Pablo Lopez were all for not as the Marlin's reigning Cy Young winner Sandy Alcantara shut down the Twins offense in game two, and Luzardo continued the dominance in game three. Dan is still traveling so David is joined in studio once again by Andrew, "Hoges" Hoganson. The boys try and keep their spirits and optimism high after two lackluster offensive performances. Hoges offers pennance to Joey Gallo for not picking him for Puckett's Picks, David is upset that Rocco didn't have Buxton pinch hit at the end of game two, and Hoges wants to know how often we'll see Pagan in medium to high leverage situations. The guys discuss how much playing time Ryan Jeffers will be given if he keeps hitting well, as well as who is next up from AAA if Kepler lands on the IL. The boys finish by grading the series and giving their Puckett's Picks for the upcoming Astros series. Thanks for listening, and as always, go Twins!
