No big surprise with the CFP rankings.  To quote Dr. Evil, "quite standard, really".  Put Bama at number 1, snuggle a couple more SEC teams close to the top 4, take another undeserving SEC team or two & nestle them nicely around the top ten, throw a couple more SEC teams in the 25....and then throw some darts.

Ohio State beat a top 10 team.  They are undefeated and will likely be in the top 4 of the first CFP ranking of 2020.  Yes, we are telling ourselves this in order to feel better about Ohio State's defensive secondary making the unit from 2018 hold its beer.  However, there was more from this weekend to take away the sting of the porous Buckeye defense.....the university of Malaise needing triple-OT to hold off Rutgers.  That is a genuine comedy right there.

annnnnd......slipping slightly off schedule, it is our Ohio State vs. Indiana breakdown.  Also, if you want to know the fundamental difference between competent and incompetent put in a "tape" of Ohio State's offense and then follow that up with the same for *ichigan.  I assure you that Indiana did....and on Saturday, it will be clear that they weren't too thrilled to palpably understand that difference.

Schadenfreude - reading the back and forth between *ichigan fans as they argue which of their losses are the most embarrassing.  Explosive Plays - When talking heads are just too lazy to truly describe the x's and o's that lead to a team's ability to compete.

The boy is quite beside himself with his successful weekend picks.   But the real joy came from watching malaise (and their coach with his awful mask...er....error) get crushed by a team that has been in "protocol" for the last couple of weeks.  As I was watching, I couldn't help imagine Graham Chapman saying, "....filled with hilarious consequences!" followed by his trademark laugh.

In this episode, we spread the bombast on pretty thick....like peanut butter.  Then, we take a little sugar and sprinkle it on top.  Oh, I forgot to mention that we first toasted the bread.

You have seen all the 2020 memes.  None of them truly explain the year like having Northwestern, Purdue, and Indiana ( with Maryland not far behind) leading the Big 10 in November!  How long will it last?  Well, as George Thorogood would say, "Move over nice dog, a mean old dog is moving in."

Although we are aware that you tune into the Bombast in order to hear the dulcet tones of the hosts, we think you'll be especially excited to hear the boy and his compelling reasons as to why he believes this will be a record week for him in his picks.  We've got 18 Top 25 matchups to plow through.  So, grab some popcorn and fire up the record player!
