The Ohio State Buckeyes and Texas Longhorns will kick off their 2025 regular seasons with one of the most anticipated matchups of the entire year when they square off in a top-5 showdown inside Ohio Stadium.

The two teams are coming off a classic Cotton Bowl matchup in the College Football Playoff semifinals, and now Steve Sarkesian and the Longhorns will be looking for revenge.

Both teams will be starting new quarterbacks with Julian Sayin and Lincoln Kienholz battling it out to be the starter for the Buckeyes, and Arch Manning finally getting a chance to live up to his immense hype for the Horns. 

Plus, Ohio State's superstar wide receiver Jeremiah Smith is looking for some personal redemption after being held to just one catch for three yards the last time these teams met.

Penn State QB Drew Allar met with reporters for an extended discussion of the Nittany Lions' 2025 season at Big Ten Media Days in Las Vegas.
