By gosh, they did it again. The Tampa Bay Bucs have improved to 7-7 on the season and are on a four game winning streak after defeating the Lions 38-17. The Bucs burst out in the first half backed by a big performance from Jameis Winston, and while Lions cut it close at one point, the Bucs still ran away with it.
We break down on the podcast how successful this transition has gone for the Bucs they get to their ways, as none of us doubted that they would let the lead slip. From Jameis, to Byron Leftwich, to Sean Murphy-Bunting and a bunch of other people, we commend the how much of a turn around and even debate, has the offense or defense improved the most?
The Bucs win did come at a cost, though, as Jordan Whitehead, Chris Godwin, and Scotty Miller all left the game early with hamstring injuries and Tanner Hudson suffered a concussion. The Bucs are depleted at receiver right now and will have to call up some practice squad players as they face the Texans.
Will the offense still be able to function? And who will take a roster spot? This is a different Bucs team and a fully healthy team would give their next opponent a good run for their money, but not all hope is lost despite the number of missing players. Stay tuned for another addition of the Pewter Nation Podcast.
