It's been four days sine the draft went down so we had time to think over how it went for the Bucs. Was trading away a fourth rounder the right move to move up one spot, or were the 49ers bluffing? The Bucs did get their guy, though, with Tristan Wirfs, and it was a bit surprising that he fell that far.
Some other prospects that the Bucs drafted Antoine Winfield Jr., who's dad played 14 years in the NFL, so he's bringing a maturity and a knowledge to the game that's tough to match. Running back Ke'Shawn Vaughn is a running back that plays with a lot of confidence, he had to deal with a bad offensive line last year, so he'll benefit from having a better offensive line here.
The other big news from this week was that former Bucs' quarterback Jameis Winston has signed in the division with the Saints as a backup for $1.1 million. Was this the right way to go? How will it turn out for him backing up Drew Brees? You can hear that plus much more from the Bucs' 2020 NFL Draft in the new Pewter Nation Podcast.
