On today's podcast, Mark and Anthony discuss the 1942 romantic drama "Casablanca", a film frequently placed alongside "Citizen Kane" as the greatest film of all time. We look at the historical nature of the film and its impact on an America entering World War II, as well as its themes.

We look at the film's incredible production design and technical achievements, but also at the rich thematic material embedded within in its story.

In this week's episode, Mark and Anthony discuss the 1998 romantic comedy "You've Got Mail", which featured the third and thus far the last collaboration between Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan. We discuss the pre-digital era the film was set in as well as the pros and cons of online communication.

For Valentine's Day, Mark and Anthony discuss the hit romantic drama The Notebook, starring Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling.

In honor of Groundhog Day a couple days ago, Mark and Anthony discuss Harold Ramis' comedy classic starring Bill Murray, including its thematic depth and significance to growing up as an adult.

On the last podcast for January, Mark and Anthony discuss "Taken", a crime action film that single handedly transformed Liam Neeson into an action star, while also influencing later action films such as John Wick. The film also brought the important real world issue of human trafficking to the forefront, while also investigating moral lines in its protagonist.
