Be an adult. Have a budget. Or at the very least, track your spending for a month so you can cut out what you don't value. Keep more money in your pocket!
My goals are being debt free and achieving financial independence. That forced me to realize I need to budget. But I don't like budgets (said in the whiniest of voices). So instead, I'm doing a few nontraditional budget ideas. I'll describe the 1) zero based budget, 2) cash envelope system, & 3) reverse budget.
If you're completely overwhelmed, forget all that. Just track your spending for the last month and find one area to cut back. Slowly you might come around to the budgeting thing. Or not. And that's okay too.
