Buehrler's Hurlers episodes

  • 6/11/21 - Corpse Watch - Nick Madrigal

The hurlers are on corpse watch again, this time for beloved second baseman Nick Madrigal. Nick has been added to the 60 day DL with the chance of season ending surgery. We talk about potential replacements and also just how great of a player Nick is.

Special shout out to friend of the podcast, Dan Diaczun, for creating the corpse watch logo.

  • 6/01/21 - Sox Gab on the Hurl

What have these Sox been up to the past couple weeks?  A good amount of winning.  Is the Yerminator yerminated? Yoan Moncada is the best player on the Sox right now.  We talk about pitcher scenarios and roster management with Kopech and Jace Fry becoming available soon. More fictional t shirts are pitched as well.

  • 5/19/21 - TLR is a POS

It did not take long for Corpse Watch to be called into duty. While bludgeoning the AL Central, the Sox brewed up some inner conflict between the Yerminator and TLR. It's old school, unwritten rules and we don't like it one bit.  Let the Yerm eat.

  • 5/15/21 - The Best Damn Team in Beisbol

The Sox, according to ESPN and all Sox fans, are the best team in MLB! We still got plenty to talk about though. The Hurlers are taking up the mantle and are on 24/7 Corpse Watch (merchandise coming). TLR is off the corpse hot stove for now, Abreu is thrown on after he and Dozier collide setting off a seismic reaction. Giolito stinks, Cease is the new money man and Dallas Keuchel is boring.  Don waxes poetic on Yoan (again) and finally recognizes Tim Anderson as a star.  Yasmani Grandal has become the most selective slugger in MLB, good thing or bad?  Let's keep the good times rolling.

  • 5/4/21 - Lu Bob Down

We are here to bring you more bad news about the White Sox outfield.  Luis Robert is out for 8-12 weeks (allegedly).  We pivot quickly from the misery to possible moves the Sox could make to fill the gap.  Should the Sox even make a move this early?  We close out the show talking about the first visit to Guaranteed Rate, MLB the Show and tease a little bit about the next episode, Tony LaRussa: Man or Puppet?

  • 4/20/21 - Step Up Performances

Last episode we prophesied the future. This episode we chat about the unexpected players who have carried the team.  We take another dump on Andrew Vaughn. What is Michael Kopech's role on the 2021 Sox?  Was Yermin Mercedes sent back in time to teach us how to hit a baseball?  The Sox are stabilizing after a few stumbles and we're all gooped up on Rodon for Cy Young.

  • 4/5/21 - Opening Series Takeaways

We're beat up, thrown out but not down. Sox open the year 1-3 against the Angels. Tony LaRussa makes some debatable calls behind a garbage bag mask. Big Yerm has a big debut.  Sox batters lead(?) the league in strikeouts. Later, we get into deep waters around a Nolan Ryan pummeling.

  • 3/29/21 - Betting the 2021 Season

We go over our favorite White Sox and MLB bets for the 2021 season.  Get a couple sox fans together and they'll talk themselves into Dylan Cease for AL Cy Young.  The juice is that good!  We'll check in our bets at the All Star break and when it comes time to cash in.

  • 3/25/21 - Eloy Jiminez, Bears, Sox, Bulls

The inevitable happens, Eloy Jiminez injures himself on a Vince Carter dunk on the outfield wall.  Sadly, this was prophesied by Don when he was caught in a net previously attempting to field.  We discuss the impacts to the lineup and wins. Who is going to fill the position? Will anyone else end up stuck in a net?

  • 3/17/21 - Spring Training and Sox Fantasy Baseball

We review who on the Sox are having solid spring starts and who need to work on some things.  We chat about the spring training 'mercy rule' which the Sox have faced a few times early.  TLR makes the fifth starter spot Carlos Rodon versus Reynaldo Lopez, we've seen enough.

At the (38:35) mark we get into White Sox fantasy baseball.  Which players we like in fantasy, who we are staying away from, auction prices, and our keeper league that everyone wants to hear about.
