All three candidates for Buffalo City Council, together in one room for an open conversation. No timers, no scripted questions.
Earlier this week, host Tyler Reiss moderated the official candidates forum, put on by the City of Buffalo with the Buffalo Chamber of Commerce. In this special Saturday-morning episode of the Buffalo Community Podcast, Brad Dahl, Erin Walsh and Jenny Stuhr pick up where the forum left off and talk through the issues Buffalo residents are asking about:
• The city's new e-bike task force, and how residents can apply to join it
• Utility bills: the billing lag, and what to do if your bill jumps
• AMI smart meters, and what real-time usage data could mean for residents
• City debt, the property tax levy, and how the city budget is built
• Why each of them is running for city council
• What makes Buffalo home, and the amenities residents would like to see here
🗳️ Election Day is Tuesday, November 3. Early voting is open now.

🍎 Deer Lake Orchard | Buffalo Community Podcast
In this episode of the Buffalo Community Podcast, we sit down with the team behind Deer Lake Orchard, one of Buffalo, Minnesota’s favorite fall destinations.
Deer Lake Orchard has been part of the local apple-growing tradition since 1968, and today Yuri and Jill continue that tradition while using regenerative growing practices designed to keep the land productive for generations to come.
With more than 25 varieties of apples, there is plenty to discover — but Deer Lake Orchard is about much more than apples. Families can enjoy animals, pedal carts, a jumping pillow, bounce house, sunflower patch, hay bales, and, on select weekends, wagon rides, a corn maze, and the popular apple cannon.
The orchard also features the Cider House, where guests can relax with a cold cider on the deck, along with weekend food, live music, and special events throughout the fall season.
Deer Lake Orchard also serves as a beautiful venue for weddings, corporate events, graduation parties, school tours, and other gatherings, with its historic barn and peaceful orchard setting providing a truly unique backdrop.
In our conversation, we learn more about the people behind Deer Lake Orchard, the history of the property, what visitors can expect this season, and why this local business has become such a special part of the Buffalo community.
