Most businesses wrestle with the overlapping responsibilities that come with management and ownership of the company and, if it’s a family-owned enterprise, being a member of the family.  Owners avoid the tough conversations about transition like the plague.  Those that do think about if want to exit in a way that honors their goals, family, employees, and community.  But too often, they fumble the ball, leave money on the table, or suffer the profound sellers’ remorse three out of four business owners report because they failed to build a plan that honors their varied roles.  She joined me this week to tell me more.
