In an industry saturated with 200+ product certifications, how is a consumer, designer, specifier, end-user, installer, municipality, building official, or developer supposed to tell what's good and what's bad? What material to use over another?
A lot of these so-called certifications are self reported. Some are simply good marketing. What if a building materials manufacturer certified the whole company rather than just a specific line of products?
