Brian outlines updated exam weightings—People dropping from 42% to 33%, Process from 50% to 41%, and Business Environment increasing from 8% to 26% and notes the shift toward more scenario-based questions.

Lee contrasts the original 1984 all-day, volunteer-builtexam with today’s format, argues scenario questions better test thinking versus memorization, and shares his concern on how boot camps produce credentialedcandidates without real capability, which can erode PMP credibility.

They discuss the challenge of “right vs. better” answers,experience requirements (Lee regrets setting the minimum at three years), PMOs, project manager cost and salary, and the myth that project managers are good communicators, emphasizing communication and leadership as primary drivers of project success.
