In this episode, I share my experience attending a wellness retreat hosted by the Modern Elder Academy and Vyve by Vayner. As the founder of a tourism company, I was intrigued by the opportunity to step away and focus on personal growth and wisdom. One of the most impactful activities was the equine experience, where I had a profound connection with a horse named Tracy. The way she intuitively responded to me and sought out my affection was truly remarkable. The retreat leaders explained how horses can sense human emotions and intentions, which provided fascinating insights. Another meaningful moment was when I unexpectedly pulled an orange trinket from a bag during a group activity. This orange held deep significance for me, as it reminded me of my first tour guide, Alex, who had tragically passed away years ago. Sharing this story with the group led to an emotional and vulnerable discussion about loss, signs, and the importance of honoring those who have impacted us. Throughout the retreat, the focus was on cultivating wisdom and exploring different pathways to purpose, beyond just career and business. The group activities, like the "circle time," allowed us to share our personal stories and insights in a safe, supportive environment. Overall, this retreat provided a transformative experience that has continued to shape my perspective and approach to both my personal and professional life. The lessons I learned about connection, intuition, and the power of vulnerability are ones I'm excited to apply going forward.
