Before moving to NZ in July 2021, Zach worked for eight Silicon Valley tech startups over the past 20+ years. He has held individual contributor, management, and executive roles in design, engineering, BD, and sales. In addition, he has founded two companies as well as advised and mentored many more. His goal now is to help the NZ innovation ecosystem evolve more quickly. To this end, he has established a company, Zia Innovation, through which he works with early-stage NZ tech startups as a consultant, director, and investor.  

Zach is currently also expert-in-residence at Te Ōhaka - the Centre for Growth and Innovation, where he is mentoring, guiding, and advising the next generation of Aotearoa New Zealand's early-stage, high-growth, tech startups.
