Join us live to hear the story of growing VendCentral and ZippyAssist through California by kiwi founders Neil Swindale and Greg Elisara.    Neil hails from New Zealand and he spent 12 years playing professional basketball before coming to the United States, where he has been “at home” for over 25 years. 14 years ago Niel founded VendCentral in California, which is a leader in digital marketing solutions for breakroom operators, growing to hundreds of loyal clients.    Fast forward to 2021, Neil and long time friend from high school Greg Elisara co-founded 6LINC with their flagship product, ZippyAssist. They saw a growing gap in the market between user expectations and experience in self-service environments (e.g. Office break rooms), and have designed simple but powerful service and support products that organisations can use to help build consumer trust and confidence.      Neil: A 20+ year veteran of the Vending and Refreshment Services industry with deep knowledge and relationships throughout. Neil held regional sales roles in Pepsi Frito Lay and Nestle Waters before founding Vendcentral—the premier marketing services agency to the industry with annual recurring revenues over $1 million.     Greg:  Greg founded 6L Inc alongside Neil after 7 years in Fintech and successful roles in advertising and eCommerce prior to that. Hear from Tim Alpe. Tim is well known for co-founding JUCY Group from New Zealand in 2001 and growing it into an international tourism business with 400+ staff, over 3500 cars & campervans, as well as several JUCY Snooze hostels, JUCY Cruise and Cityhop, NZ’s first car share business. When covid closed the borders, 90% of business disappeared overnight, and the realities of the pandemic’s effects on tourism businesses hit hard.  Tim will be sharing his journey, the effect this had on his mental health, and how he pushed through to continue growing the new LyLo brand & business.  In 2021 Tim also co-founded Comfi.co.nz, New Zealand's first online bed store with a social purpose - for every 5 beds sold, one is donated to a kiwi kid in need.  We’ll also chat on the changing tourism industry and what’s up & coming for LyLo.

Join us live to hear from Mike Casey, Founder of NZ0.com and Forest Lodge Orchard, to hear about his journey towards zero fossil fuel food production.  Mike currently lives in Central Otago with an established Cherry Orchard (forestlodge.nz) that focuses on energy efficient and environmentally friendly food production. They have just under 10000 trees across 6ha using a trellis growing system called UFO. This is the world's first 100% electric, zero fossil fuel orchard.  Prior to horticulture, Mike was a Founder Director of GradConnection, a website dedicated to finding tertiary students the right graduate and internship programs in Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong and Singapore. This was acquired by Seek in 2019.  Mike was also the Founder and Director of Fishburners, a charity tech startup co-working space in Sydney that is home to over 100 companies.  In addition, Mike is a mentor at Startmate, and investor at Blackbird Ventures, whilst making small seed investments in early stage Australian and New Zealand Tech startups with a focus on renewable energy and agri-tech.  Mike is also a keen multi sport athlete.  Are you a kiwi founder? Diligent listed on the NZX the same year as Xero and built its business by providing outstanding customer success, excellent security and an interface that directors of the world's largest corporations found as easy to use as a paper board pack.  Simon then co-founded Arria NLG, which is an AI company and the category leader in Natural Language Technologies (specifically Natural Language Generation: transforming structured data into natural language). Arria's tools and platform replicate the human [Hu] process of expertly analyzing and communicating data insights (AI + HU). Arria is expected to list on the NYSE in 2023.  Simon is deeply involved in the local SaaS community leading and training founders on how to scale and grow their businesses to $200m ARR (focussing on Strategy, Capital & Revenue). He has a podcast called SaaS on the Street featuring founders from around the world. Mick is a climate tech investor and advisor. He co-founded Climate Salad to help build climate-focused startups and help the world get to and beyond net-zero carbon emissions by 2050.  Mick has helped build 100’s of tech companies as a co-founder and with Pollenizer, Startmate, muru-D and Austrade.  He programmed his Commodore 64 at age 8, sold computer networks at age 17, raised capital for a business at 22 and ran marketing globally for Kazaa at 26.  For the past 18 years he has co-founded 4 technology startup companies, including three years in San Francisco. This has included evaluating 1,000’s of ideas, building first products, getting first customers, launching globally, raising capital, closing businesses, selling businesses and all the emotional rollercoaster rides in between.  He wrote a novel to inspire teenage girls into the world of STEM, called She’s Building A Robot. In 2009 Mons Royale was founded alongside his wife Hannah who leads brand design.  Mons Royale works with a range of athletes and ambassadors which keeps connected to the passionate core and connects to a growing fan base.  They have three key business units across Europe, Australia/New Zealand and North America, with a mixture of sales force including reps, agents, and distributors covering the markets with global offices in Vancouver, Innsbruck and Wanaka.
