Join us live to hear from Mike Casey, Founder of NZ0.com and Forest Lodge Orchard, to hear about his journey towards zero fossil fuel food production.  Mike currently lives in Central Otago with an established Cherry Orchard (forestlodge.nz) that focuses on energy efficient and environmentally friendly food production. They have just under 10000 trees across 6ha using a trellis growing system called UFO. This is the world's first 100% electric, zero fossil fuel orchard.  Prior to horticulture, Mike was a Founder Director of GradConnection, a website dedicated to finding tertiary students the right graduate and internship programs in Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong and Singapore. This was acquired by Seek in 2019.  Mike was also the Founder and Director of Fishburners, a charity tech startup co-working space in Sydney that is home to over 100 companies.  In addition, Mike is a mentor at Startmate, and investor at Blackbird Ventures, whilst making small seed investments in early stage Australian and New Zealand Tech startups with a focus on renewable energy and agri-tech.  Mike is also a keen multi sport athlete.  Are you a kiwi founder?
