As single parents, we all want healthy relationships with our kids. And, as any parent knows, it’s not as easy as it sounds and there’s certainly not a cut-and-dry way of doing this. But are there some good practices to put into place to cultivate openness, mutual respect, trust, and connection?

Colton Lee is the oldest son of regular contributor, Marissa Lee. Colton is a Class of 2024 high school graduate and he will be heading to Ole Miss to study Accounting. Zara Beeson is the youngest of Robert’s three daughters. Zara graduated from Dental School and is a Certified Dental Assistant at a practice in Franklin, TN.
