We’ve chatted about sources of inspiration in the past, but never before have we got this specific about what really inspires (and doesn’t inspire) each of us. Tune in as we talk through how challenging it can be to stay in your lane and find success outside of your industry!

We’ve covered worth in previous episodes but as freelance businesses owners it resurfaces again and again. You move through a slower time where you’re more likely to bend your pricing and worth and then things pick back up again and you have to remind yourself of your pricing, your time and most importantly how to re-learn and hold your worth in your business. On this episode we will both dive into each of our experiences with doing so.

In this episode we dive into what it has been like to each start and run our businesses as women. We tackle the typical pitfalls we’ve fell into, what we’ve done to overcome those challenges and how we have found strength and confidence through the process. Amy had the pleasure of watching a presentation by Nick North and Hailey’s obsession with Brené Brown runs deep - this is the book she was referencing.

On this episode we talk through each of our experiences when it comes to workflow when others are involved, our tips on finding the perfect person for your business (spoiler: this person looks different for us all) and the realities of when and if things go south. Folks generally don’t offer you these opportunities unless they believe you’re capable and if you don’t try you’ll never know. Today, on Building Household with Hailey & Amy, we’re celebrating our 30th episode by sharing the lessons we’ve learned since starting each of our businesses. These have helped shape how we run things, how we manage work-from-home life, how we create work-life balance and so much more. We believe these are lessons every freelancer should know and since we don’t keep secrets here, we wanted to share them all with you guys!

On this episode we both get real real about the growing pains we’re each experiencing at the moment.
