A key part of success in any injury rehab program or risk abatement program is the ability for the athletic trainer to build rapport and cultivate ownership and accountability in their patients. in this episode Ryan Stevens and Harold Gibbons discuss how they have built this ownership in those they have worked with. Guest bio: Harold Gibbons believes in each person's ability to take control of their lives, and his purpose as a coach is to elevate exercise as an empowering tool to enrich the quality of life of the Ninjas at Mark Fisher Fitness and his personal clients. In his time at MFF he's started the Motivation and Movement LAB series of continuing education event for fitness professionals and the Trainer-In-Residence mentorship for fitness coaches to experience MFF's environment for several months at a time. He runs MFF's Program Design Team, writing personalized exercise programs and group training classes for over 800 of New York City’s most ridiculous humans. This unique experience has lead to a nuanced understanding of how we blend progressive exercise strategies and contemporary coaching concepts to create the most empowering experience for clients of all ages and ability levels. His latest passion project is the MFF Explorers Club to encourage our community to get outside and explore the natural world as much as possible.
