In episode 62, we dive into burnout in healthcare (also applicable across many other fast-paced high-demand professions).Imagine working super hard to help people, yet feeling super stressed and tired all the time. That's what happens to many healthcare professionals who suffer from burnout.
At times it feels like a heavy backpack full of sadness and exhaustion, making it hard to smile and keep going. We juggle caring for patients, mountains of paperwork or e-notes, and sometimes even an angry patient or family of the patient!
Here's the cool part: even though we're tired, we still see that kid's happy face after surgery or hear a "thank you" from a grateful family, and that reminds us why we chose this tough job - to make people feel better!
